Bush Blaming Congress On The Foreclosure Crisis? What About the War?

On Tuesday the President Bush blamed the Democratic-led Congress for not passing the foreclosure bills. According to the President, the Democratic-let Congress is blocking proposals that could help the sagging economy and the real estate crisis. The President said he is opened to help on the crisis but he is not getting Bills that he can sign.

The pop star Michael Jackson has managed to avoid losing his home in La, after paying $414,806. The three bedroom house in Encino had been scheduled for a public foreclosure auction on May 5, according to A Notice of Trustee’s Sale filed on April this month.

The new proposals intend to propose new affordable and stable fixed mortgage rates, and she will build an agenda to address the crisis.

Expected veto from the White House on foreclosure bills

Barney Frank said to reporters this morning that the House Financial Services Committee is expecting a veto threat from the Bush administration on the $15 billion dollars loan and grant assistance bill. This bill has been approved by the committee yesterday.

Arizona on a low foreclosure rate

While there has been a considerable increase in mortgage delinquencies and foreclosure rates among major states of the country including Phoenix metro during 2007, Arizona foreclosure still maintains a low rank when compared to other states of the country. And even with many people losing their residential homes in the Valley increased by tenfold in 2007, Arizona’s forclosure rate still maintained a low rank and stayed at the bottom 10.

North Carolina foreclosure streamlined!

Lawmakers at North Carolina are working on measures that set standards to lending business and help arrest foreclosure homes. Around four bills have been passed in order to arrest North Carolina foreclosure that awaits action from the state Senate. The bills have cleared the North Carolina House. It would significantly increase the state oversight with regard to the mortgage industry and set its foot firm in for the first time in over five years.

Wisconsin foreclosures soars up in the state, housing industry stands to gain

Wisconsin foreclosure homes increase in state and leave many homeowners in panic. The cumulative foreclosure listing till the month of April summed up to six thousand plus, which is nothing less than around twenty five percent over last year. According to a non profit agency working with home owners and helping them with Wisconsin foreclosures, people buy homes which are just beyond their capacity with literally no savings and very little to pay!

Virginia Foreclosure springs up!

According to The daily progress, the number of forclosures in the Charlottesville region has skyrocketed drastically maintaining the same trend as Virginia and nation. It has become an increasingly common scenario in Central Virginia to auction foreclosed property. And on Tuesday, a couple lost their 1200 sq. ft home in a forclosure property auction which was worth around $135,000 for having missed their mortgage payments.

Michigan on the receiving side of foreclosure

Most of the Michigan foreclosure homes have been recorded from the Detroit metropolitan area. Detroit, a growing economy has almost come to a standstill because of the high rate of foreclosures. The trouble is that the metro area is also suffering from a slump in the housing market and increasing unemployment. On top of that there is the reset in housing interest rates, which has made it almost next to impossible for homeowners to pay their monthly mortgage amount.

The foreclosure hit state of Michigan

The state of Michigan is seeing an increasingly large number of foreclosure houses and recorded a rate of one per 455 homes. The total number of filings in February 2007 was 9,287. By the end of the last quarter of 2007, there were 136,205 foreclosure homes for sale reported in the state and 87,210 properties were filed for the percentage change as compared to 2006 was 68.32%. Detroit, once a great city was shattered by the weight of rising foreclosures and to add to its woe is an alarming increase in the rate of unemployment as well as the housing market slump.
