Wisconsin Foreclosures Rate Stays Put

Across the nation, foreclosures rate dipped by over 1 percent as the market tries to correct itself from the tragedy brought about by the subprime mortgage market. In states like Washington, Vermont and Wisconsin, foreclosures rate experienced the same fate as most of them brought in less than 2 percent increases. The number of Wisconsin foreclosures filings reached 840 in April with 473 homes receiving Notice of Defaults.

West Virginia Still Enjoys Low Foreclosures Rate

Since last year, West Virginia foreclosures rate have considerably increased by almost 250 percent. Surprisingly, the state enjoys a below than national average foreclosures rate, with one filing out of every 4,826 homes. Across the state, subprime mortgage loan products, adjustable rate mortgages in particular, have been blamed for the growing inventory of West Virginia foreclosed homes.

Nevada’s April Foreclosures Rate Decrease by 21%!

The 1 percent dip in national foreclosure homes rate this April left a huge sigh of relief from real estate experts worried about the after effects of the could-have-been-better foreclosure market conditions. Other states like Nevada even enjoyed a 21. 13 percent decrease in foreclosure activity compared to last month. Although the state recorded just 3,737 homes entering some stage of foreclosure, Nevada still has the top spot in terms of foreclosures rate.

Washington Foreclosure escapes the trend set by other states!

According to ForeclosureConnections.com, national foreclosure activity has increased around forty-five percent in overall when compared to year 2006. This information is based on the filings made during the month of March. But, Washington foreclosures has decreased by six percent during the month of April when compared to the previous month.

Indiana scoring 11th rank on national top foreclosure list!

The state of Indiana has been fighting against mortgage foreclosure and stands at eleventh rank in overall foreclosures for realities owned in the country. The state of Indiana along with twenty-one other states is desperately taking measures to minimize the impact of heavy housing downturn. Indiana governor passes a bill offering consultation and assistance to all the defaulted homeowners and those who are likely to do so.

Georgia foreclosure ranks sixth during April

Georgia foreclosure bagged 6th rank in foreclosure listing in the month of April 2007 with one foreclosure filed for every four hundred and thirty homes. This is an increase of around 5.5 percent from its previous month, March and an amazing increase of 38 percent from April last year. Georgia foreclosures ranked fourth in the month of March and maintained third rank for earlier several months.

Connecticut Foreclosure leapfrogged from 15th rank to 3rd rank

There has been a consistent increase with respect to residential home foreclosures. According to the industry experts, Connecticut foreclosures have increased by 40 percent through April over 2006 same time with a continued trend. The statistics of number of foreclosed homes along with moderate real estate market contribute substantially on spending and residential values.

Colorado foreclosure ranks 2nd among all states!

One in every 315 households in Colorado reported foreclosure in April. This is seven percent less than March and a whopping fifty seven percent from April last year. Colorado foreclosures is now ranking 2nd among all states.

Michigan Foreclosures On a downward trend

In the month of April the Michigan Foreclosures activity saw a drop of 20%. The total number of house foreclosure filings in the month of April was 6876 which is a 20% drop from the figure in March. The figure is 31% more than the figure reported during the same period last year. Michigan ranked 10th among the US states with one foreclosure filing for every 614 homes. The numbers in April were much better than at the beginning of the year when foreclosure activity had soared by 70%. There has been a steady decline in the Michigan foreclosure figures since then. The foreclosure rate in Michigan was reported at 1.3 times the national average of the United States.
