Arizona’s Efforts To Help Homebuyers Facing Foreclosure Problems
Foreclosure has become a major issue in Arizona’s real estate market and a very strong indication of that is found in the various efforts the state authorities are making in helping people who are facing foreclosure issues. One of these efforts is the setting up of a 24/7 helpline to help people on the verge of Arizona foreclosures. A toll-free number connects people with a foreclosure counselor who can provide tips and guidance on how to go about the process with the least amount of damage done. The helpline has been set up at a cost of $1.3 million, which was covered by a federal grant. This only goes to show how concerned Arizona is about the foreclosure problem.

A person who owns a house that is on the verge of coming up on the Arizona foreclosure listings can use this helpline to get access to some foreclosure counseling appointments, free of cost. Such counseling on foreclosure homes is provided through the Community Information and Referral Services contracted with the Arizona Department of Housing.
There are other efforts being made by the Arizona Department of Housing to prevent foreclosed homes from appearing on the market with such amazing alacrity. The Eviction and Foreclosure Prevention Program has just been enhanced from $2.75 million to $4.2 million to better help people saving their houses from becoming foreclosed houses. Additionally, $500,000 is provided to serve high-risk areas for Arizona foreclosure homes.
A lot many foreclosure counselors are being trained and used in public service and there are workshops and training programs to help people at risk of foreclosure to get educated on preventing such an eventuality. In addition, the Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force is a conglomeration point for lenders, organizations and government representatives in Arizona to come together and help homeowners in preventing foreclosures from happening with them.
