Foreclosure Company Hits The Wrong Home!
May 16th, 2008The Field Asset Services (FAS), a company that works together with lenders and banks to prepare homes that are in foreclosure for sale, has hit the wrong unit on a condo in Stockton, CA. FAS was supposed to inspect the unit 232, and instead they entered and re-keyed unit 2 where Ruth Anderson lives.
Ruth Anderson said that when she came home from work there was a notice on the door and she could not get in as locks have been changed. The notice said that her unit had been purchased by a bank at a foreclosed home auction, so she decided to call the police.
When entering the condo unit a surprise, her condo was upside down and many valuables were taken off. FAS admitted the mistake, but could not explain why valuables were missing.
